"We were fortunate to stay here in early March and how fortune were we , the Hotel location is perfect, near a supermarket for nibbles and provisions and also walking distance to enjoy majical Porto.
We arrived to a warm welcome and a complemetary drink.
The smell which greeted us on arrival was their own bespoke aroma wafting through the hotel.
The interior is beyond majical, you really felt like you were in a Palace, the staff could not do enough for us when we arrived. I was struck my what a stunning building we were in everything from the ceilings to the cornice to the chandeliers to the carpets, it was breath taking.
Our suite blew me away we overlooked the small pool at the rear, we had a small balcony and we sat outside and enjoyed the compleimentarty bottle of red wine, the suite was amazing, the bed was huge the mattress and bedlinen were utterly divine. Every details was thought of.
I loved the bespoke toiletries made in Porto these were utterly divine
The design lay out with the shower room was perfect. I cant fault a single thing it was just unbeliveable , we lay in bed and admired the beauty of the room every night and every morning, high ceilings large paintings , truly Palatial.
The breakfast was sensational , served in the bar area although we decided to eat outside we always went back for more , I was chilly and the waiter noticed this and brought me a blanket to put over my shoulders, they selection was plentiful, cereals, eggs, hams , cheese, breads, juices, you name it it was available. They even served complimentary bubbly each morning.
What I adored about this Hotel was the attention to detail and the staff they always went the extra mile.
To be honest this has to be the best Hotel I have stayed in in Europe.

"Wir waren eine der ersten Gaeste in diesem neuen und sehr eleganten Hotel - einfach beeindruckend! Der Palast wurde komplett renoviert, die original Stiege fuehrt zu der grossartigen CLARABOIA - Wahnsinn! Die Zimmer sind geraeumig und aussergewoehnlich modern eingerichtet. Das Beste sind jedoch die Mitarbeiter, so freundlich, charmant und hilfsbereit. Palace Porto ist ideal gelegen, mitten in der Stadt, und doch in einer Gegend, die gerade sehr hip ist. "Ce magnifique palais récemment rénové est un joyau dans la collection Torel boutiques dont deux autres où nous avons logé à Porto auparavant. Tout était de qualité supérieure: l'accueil chaleureux de Daniela et son équipe, le verre de Porto offert dans la bibliothèque où on pourrait facilement s'attarder paisiblement et longtemps. Notre chambre magnifique (l'hotel nous ayant gentiment donné un surclassement) ,est l'une des 24 nommées d'après des écrivains portugais. Les espaces communs sont ceux d'un veritable palais, restauré à merveille, les murs des escaliers peints à la main, les stucs restitués comme de la dentelle, menant à une coupole en verre décorée qui donne au palais un style et une luminosité unique. Notre chambre était spacieuse et lumineuse, avec une belle salle de bains en marbre noir et or, et un petit balcon charmant et ensoleillé. Tous les petits détails sont bien pensés, tel le chocolat au Porto placé sur l'oreiller, les articles de toilettes supérieurs, les peignoirs épais, le bloc notes et crayon sur la table de chevet, et bien sûr la machine Nespresso et le frigo bien stocké ce qui complète le sens de bien-être et de luxe. Le petit déjeuner, abondant de choix frais et faits maison, et servi dans le restaurant Blind qui vaut aussi la peine d'y diner. L'emplacement de l'hotel est parfait, sur une rue calme, dans un quartier intéressant et moins touristique mais facilement accessible à tous les monuments et à la rivière du Douro à pied (en descente!). Plus que tout nous nous sommes sentis si chaleureusement accueillis par tout le personnel qui sont professionnels et super aimables et on espère retourner à cet hotel exceptionnel très bientôt. "Espectacular recuperación de un palácio del S. XIX. Desde el primer momento senti la calidez del servicio, fui recibido con una copa de vino de Oporto. El personal muy simpático y al mismo tiempo profesional (me ofrecieron amablemente un free upgrade) . Habitación muy elegante y cómoda, de muy buen gusto. El desayuno completo y bien presentado. Decidí probar el restaurante y la experiencia" Blind" fué algo fuera de lo común. Sin lugar a duda uno de Los mejor es hoteles de la ciudad... Hasta pronto!" - Francisco, Fevereiro de 2020
