Inaugurated in 2020, BLIND is a tribute to writer José Saramago’s “Blindness” and an invitation to take a journey that goes beyond the palate. In BLIND, we interpret gastronomy as an experience that involves emotions, memories, and all the senses.








BLIND Emotions
A new and evolving kitchen
We offer our BLIND EMOTIONS tasting menu with 10 or 12 moments, an ever-changing culinary experience full of surprises created by Chef Vitor Matos, which intrigues all by the remarkable and unforgettable staging at the time of tasting.
Don’t be surprised if you are blindfolded in the middle of the meal or if sounds and smells arise at the time of tasting. The menu is never revealed – Close your eyes and embark on a journey of flavors, where emotions and senses will be put to the test.

CHEF VITOR MATOS
Throughout his almost 20-year career, the Chef with the most MICHELIN Stars in Portugal has won several distinctions as a cook, including the titles of Chef of the Year 2003 (Edições do Gosto), Chef of the Year 2013 (Awards WINE Magazine), Best Chef in Portugal 2014 (Arco Atlântico Gastro Awards) and the Prix Chefs de l’Avenir 2011 from (Académie Internacional de Gastronomie, Paris).

CHEF Stéphane
Born in Ponte de Lima in 1992, Stéphane Costa graduated in Culinary Arts and Pastry from EPRALIMA. He began his professional journey at the restaurant “A Tulha,” where he strengthened his foundations in traditional Portuguese cuisine—a passion that has been with him since his early days cooking for family and friends. Throughout his career, he has developed a sensory and contemporary approach to gastronomy, combining technique with creativity. Since joining BLIND in 2019, he has worked alongside Chef Vítor Matos, honing his precision, discipline, and culinary vision. In 2025, he takes on the role of Executive Chef, leading the kitchen with deep respect for heritage and an innovative perspective on the gastronomic experience.
